Part 01

Terracotta Army

The Terracotta Army was constructed to accompany the tomb of ancient China's first emperor as an afterlife guard. There are thousands of detailed life-size terracotta soldier models represent the guard troops of the emperor — Qin Shihuang. They were molded in parts, fired, then assembled and painted. It is considered one of the greatest archaeological sites in the world, and one of the greatest discoveries of the 20th century.

 

 

Part 02

Big Wild Goose Pagoda

The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is a monumental Buddhist pagoda located in southern Xi'An and has been added to the World Heritage List. It was built in 652AD during the Tang Dynasty to store the Buddhist scriptures and statues that the great monk Xuanzang brought back from ancient India. The pagoda was rebuilt in 704AD during the reign of Empress Wu Zetian, and its exterior brick façade was renovated during the Ming Dynasty.

Ancient Xi'An City Wall

The ancient city wall of Xi'an is the largest and best-preserved ancient city wall in China, also known as the Xi'An Ming City Wall. Built in 1370AD, it stands on the foundation of the Tang Dynasty Imperial City. The total length of the wall is about 14KM, and height 12m and width 14m, it was considered impregnable when it was built.

The main food street area is known as Huimin Street or Muslim Quarter. It's a main street with a few intersecting roads. So the Xi'An Muslim Food Street is the collective name for a number of streets, and it has become a famous attraction of Xi'An for its profound Muslim cultural atmosphere.

Gao's Courtyard & Great Mosque

Gao's Grand Courtyard is the former residence of a high ranking official of the Ming Dynasty. With a history of 400 years, it is one of the best-persevered traditional residences in Xi'An. Here you can appreciate the old houses and antique furniture, watch the shadow puppetry, and learn Chinese crafts like painting and paper-cutting.

 

The Great Mosque of Xi'An is a famous Muslim site keeping authentic ancient buildings mixed with traditional Chinese style and Islamic culture. This sacred mosque not only gives a great chance to learn diversity of Chinese culture, delicate architectural arts, but also present you a peaceful retreat with lush plants to wonder around and away from the crowds and busy streets nearby, surprisingly quiet land away from the bustling Muslim streets.

Day1

Arrival at Xi'An airport or train station, pickup and transfer to hotel. Hotel check-in, have a good rest for tomorrow's trip.

08:00-09:00 Hotel Pick up 09:00-11:00 Xi'an City Wall Climb & explore the city wall on foot for panoramic views of the city

11:00-12:00 Bell Tower and Drum Tower Square

12:00-13:00 Muslim Old Quarter

13:00-14:00 Great Mosque of Xi'An

14:00-15:00 Gao's Grand Courtyard

15:00-17:00 Big Wild Goose Pagoda

17:00-18:00 Tour ends at Grand Tang Dynasty Everbight City
