Meeting and Pick-up Details

Pick-up Time: On Day 1, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby at 7:00 am. On Day 2, the pick-up time is 8:00 am. Your guide will contact you one day in advance to confirm the exact time.

Pick-up Location: We offer free pick-up within the fourth ring road of Beijing. If your hotel is outside this range, you may need to pay for extra transfers or get to an appointed meeting point.

Day 1 Itinerary

8:00 - 11:30: Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City

Start your day at Tiananmen Square, the heart of Chinese political activities. After taking photos, visit the Forbidden City, a vast royal palace complex. Admire its heritage buildings and learn about ancient emperors' lives. Note that Forbidden City tickets are released 7 days in advance and sell out quickly, so book your tour at least 8 days in advance.

11:30 - 13:30: Drive to Mutianyu Great Wall and Lunch

Take a 1.5 - hour drive to the Mutianyu Great Wall. Lunch is on your own. You can choose from fast food like Subway or Burger King, have a simple Chinese meal, or bring take - away food for a picnic on the wall.

13:30 - 16:30: Mutianyu Great Wall

Explore the Mutianyu Great Wall, a well - preserved section of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall. You can hike, take a cable car, or a combination of both. The cable car round - trip ticket costs around CNY140, and a one - way ticket is CNY100. Your guide will help you buy tickets.

16:30 - 18:00: Return to Downtown and Houhai Bar Street

Drive back to downtown Beijing. Optionally, you can explore Houhai Bar Street and Tobacco Pipe Lane, experiencing Beijing's nightlife. Stroll to the Silver Ingot Bridge, visit the Drum Tower and Bell Tower, or take a boat on the lake. Then, take the subway or a cab back to your hotel.

Day 2 Itinerary

9:00 - 11:00: Temple of Heaven

Visit the Temple of Heaven, where emperors held sacrificial activities. If it's Monday, when the main historical sites are closed, we'll take you to Beihai Park instead. Enjoy the park's landscapes and see the locals doing exercises.

11:00 - 13:30: Hutong Rickshaw Tour and Lunch

Take a rickshaw through Beijing's Hutongs, visit a local family, and explore Shichahai, Yinding Bridge, and Yandaixie Street. Have lunch at one of the many local restaurants, cafes, or food stores. Your guide will give suggestions based on your taste.

13:30 - 15:00: Lama Temple

Drive to the Lama Temple, Beijing's largest Buddhist temple. Admire its unique architecture that combines different ethnic styles.

15:00 - 17:30: Summer Palace

Visit the Summer Palace, known as the museum of ancient Chinese royal gardens. Walk along the Long Corridor, enjoy the murals, and take in the beauty of Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake.

17:30: Hotel Drop - off

Your guide and driver will escort you back to your hotel, ending your 2 - day Beijing tour.

Booking Policy

Departure Guarantee: Departures are guaranteed with 2 persons on Day 1 and 3 persons on Day 2.

Group Size: Most groups are about 9 people, but there's a 10% chance of groups exceeding 9 people. We'll make proper arrangements.

Infant Policy: Infants under 3 years old can join the tour for free.

Age Limitation: The tour is suitable for ages 0 to 85 years old. It's not wheelchair - accessible.

Confirmation: Confirmation will be sent within 12 hours upon receiving your booking request.

Payment: Full payment is required at least two days prior to the day trip. We accept payment by PayPal, Credit Card, Alipay, WeChat, and Bank Transfer.

Cancellation: Your payment is fully refundable if you cancel 24 hours prior to the trip. Cancellation within 24 hours before departure is non - refundable.
